Whoa! Blackouts! I thought they stopped making those in 1991!
How hard was it to modify them to fit your BMW? I looked around and couldn't find a year of Camaro, Mustang or Monte Carlo that had taillights even remotely similar to an E36. :(
motorwerks 09-13-2006, 04:23 PM not blackouts... just blacked out taillights. i apologize my e36 isn't an exact carbon copy of everyone elses. i know doing something even slightly different is frowned upon here. i took a risk, and lost. a bf.c member doesn't like my lights... excuse me while i go mop up my tears.

Hey man, it's ok.
After John V made fun of my red double bladed wipers made by Rallye, I learned to ignore him.
Preppy 09-13-2006, 06:12 PM Just forwarded that pic to the local State Trooper down the street. He and his buddies will be looking out for you in MD. Thanks! ;)
I kid I kid....he's a nice guy :shifty
motorwerks 09-13-2006, 09:44 PM it wouldn't be the 1st time i've pulled over in md. i think it would be the 4th time... my wife is from richmond, and she has family that lives in va., so i've done many trips through md. the reason i'm going to fairfax, is to pic up my mother in law.
Preppy 09-13-2006, 10:39 PM Which side of MD will you be traveling?
motorwerks 09-13-2006, 11:02 PM 15 to 270 to 495

Actually I just used spraypaint. My goal was to make it so it was impossible to tell if I was braking. I need a rear bumper repaint. :)
ooh ooh, you should also do blacked out headlights like i see on all those awesome muscle cars!!!
lighting/safety is for the gays!!

I already did black out my headlights. I just drive around with my parking lights on. If I'm leaving the bars and it's dark, I turn on my 6000k HID fogs. :)
werd.......
i just roll around with my angel eyes on at night. i can only go like 10mph b/c i cant see anything infront of me.... gotta ball somehow
Nbx33 09-14-2006, 12:41 PM damn. talk about shitty commute!
YEah drizzle for shizzle(rain) hurts the commute and since school is on more and more dirvers on the road it sucks i think i topped out @ 24mph today ONCE...:buttrock
motorwerks 09-14-2006, 05:31 PM ok, guys i get it, you don't like my taillights. i assure you that i have no mullet, and that despite how dark they look in the pic, you can see my brake lights fine. you may have also noticed my car has a 3rd brake light if for some reason you couldn't see my normal brakes. which again i assure you can be seen.
obviously i made it back ok. no tickets, no hold ups. 7 hr round trip.
Bsaint 09-14-2006, 05:42 PM i would watch out in virginia, prolly the worst state to get pulled over couple of my friends were arested for going to much over. They might give u shit about those tails too

i've been pulled over in virginia once, or twice. i was lucky though, the cops that pulled me over were pretty cool. most of the time on trips i have my lights on, because of all the construction zones, so they wouldn't be likely to pull me over for my tail lights. you really can see my lights fine. depending on angle they look black, but straight on they don't seem as dark. i've been pulled over since they've been done, and the cops didn't say anything.
