RRT is now an authorized distributor of MOTUL.

Much like our suspension research, we have found an excellent product line that grew-up in the motorcycle world. We have done the comparisons and found Motul to offer the best performance and protection per dollar for the BMW performance and racing enthusiast.

Motul products include:

Long Life 5W30 formulated specifically to meet or exceed BMW LL-01 specs, good for both street and track use in nearly all modern BMWs

300V Racing oils, proven to lower oil temps and reduce extreme pressure wear under racing use

Gear FF Racing 75W140, an extreme pressure GL-5 transmission and differential lubricant that exceeds MUGEN Le Mans 24H – HEWLAND and X-TRAC Japanese GT standards.

RBF 600, a DOT 5.1 spec brake fluid with boiling points of 593F dry and 420F wet and DOT 5.1, a low-viscosity fluid with boiling points of 536F and 365F wet.

Inugel, a phosphate-, nitrate-, and amine-free extended drain interval coolant

Cleaners, waxes, degreasers, and motorcycle specific products.

See http://www.motul.fr/uk/conseils/index.html for more information regarding the Motul product line.

Just in time... I need to do an oil change soon. Now, what to get so my order is over $50 :D Guess I'll stick with 5w30 too unless there's another suggestion.

I would stick with the LL5W30 unless you are putting a lot of track miles on the car, or you are running forced induction. Then you could look at the 300V 5W30 100% ester racing oil. They are pricey though.

Bump for Motul and RRT. I got it put in my car last week, then did 3 days of hard track driving - 150 miles Friday, 130 miles saturday, 115 miles sunday - all above 4K rpm's! Car was cool and had zero prob's. Not to mention m3 cam upgrade, m50 mani, and software done by RRT was cash money on the track...

LL-98 is the older BMW Spec. LL-01 is the new one, and our dealer, Sterling BMW, only sells the latest. The Xcess 5W40 is ACEA A3/B3 approved, which is what BMW requires. Motul makes manufacturer-specific oils for BMW, Ford, and VW/Audi. We stock both the BMW Specific LL-01 and Xcess 5W40, other oils are available by special order (usually 1 week delivery time). The Xcess is a bit cheaper if you buy it in 5L jugs, where the LL-01 is only available in 1L bottles. We are also going to begin stocking a limted supply of their 300V racing oils, which are some of the best pure racing oils available.
