can anyone help me out with info on this control module ? Can you tell me exactly what it does and whether my door should have it

I am rebuilding an 04 330CiC and had to replace the passenger door. The door was totally stripped and as I am replacing everything in/on the replacement door. I notice that I am missing one component that I have seen on some E46 window regulator repair DIY's. A dealership service tech told me that it was a "door module" and that it controlled the window, door lock and possibly the mirror (my mirrors are htd/mem style).

This thing is mounted under the door panel, down by the 6" speaker/kick panel and is about 2x3 inches. It has a branch of the door wiring harness running to it with a white plug plugged into it.

any info on this will be greatly appreciated,

door module. Some have some don't. Take off the drivers panel and see if it has one. If it does then you need it for the pass side also.
