HOLY COW!!!! So I am walking to class in this freezing ass cold rain... and up comes this BRAND NEW Z4 crusing down the road. From a distance I thought it was that lexus convertable sportscar thing that is supposed to rival the M3. Anyway, it gets closer.. and its this gunmetal grey Z4 with a black top. :eek: HOLY *&^%!!!!!! I stopped dead in my tracks and just took a hard stare. It was this dude just coming from the dealership ( still had the dealer tag on it and everything). Anyway, he happened to pull into the university.. and i had to go check out the car. So we start talking about BMW's. He traded in his 318TI for it. Anyway, so after about 20 minutes of standing in the freezing rain with my jaw on the ground.... he's like.. " wanna take it for a test drive?" Guy was a cool cat none-the-less, and happened i knew him from a frat party a few weeks before . We went around the block.... took some turns hard on the wet surface.. car handled like a dream. I am seriously impressed.... maybe bangor isnt as bad as we are labeling him out to be. I dont think pictures are doing the z4 any justice.. the thing is just.. wow.

I saw one 3 weeks ago in Frisco.. he was at a Taco Bell :) .. I thought it was okay.. to me it looked just like the pictures. It was also was gunmetal grey, top was down.. I took a good look at it and followed it for a while. I don't think its ugly, I just think its different. I would love to drive it however, or atleast really 'look it over' inside and out. I can tell its not a car I am going to fall over due to the looks.. the performance/handling maybe.. but its no beauty queen like the M3's/M5's IMHO.

I'd love to autocross one... particularly if it had an LSD, instead of the electrono-crap that doesn't work for racing.

The Z4 is plain BUTT UGLY..... bangle is ruining BMW. sorry. they way things are going, i'll never part with my e36.:complain

Yeah, my opinion is slowly changing as well. There is a guy that goes to my gym that got a new Z4 a few weeks ago. He always parks next to me. The design is starting to grow on me....it looks pretty damn cool in person. Yesterday when I was leaving the gym, I noticed that the owner of the Z4 had left his trunk partially open......I closed it for him. So I've touched one......now when does the driving come into play??? :dunno :D

Wait, the Z4 doesn't have an LSD??? My Z3 3.0 came with a Torsen LSD, and they did away with that on the Z4 3.0???

I saw one yesterday when I was getting snow tires put on at the dealer, still looks like ass to me.

The guy driving it looks at me like, "Come on, I dare ya. I'm the king in my new butt ugly car." Too bad he went the other way...

I'm yet to see one :(

I think it's 45 000$US. A guy here ordered a 3.0 : 76 000$CAN...

45 grand??? HOw much are M roadsters going for now?? 40?? Hmmmm... M power or regular 3.0? Haarrdd choice - NOT!

only problem with mroadsters is the s54 engine....is it, or isn't it going to hold up? That one, I think the verdict is to early to render. I love the mroadster, sexy as hell....prices are still around $40K (I think b/c of the rarity of the vehicles...)....

if the MZ4 comes out, should be interesting...I think it's already to wide...not sure how they would make it more aggressive looking. Plus, the price should be near M3/porsche boxster territory....I would surmise AT LEAST $50k+ for the MZ4.

I mean, how much more is an SLK 32 AMG from that price?

I drove one myself and was not so impressed about the hadnling part of the things as I mentioned on this forum before.

yep, PLC. I'm there pretty much everyday after school. I don't know....I don't think that the interior is half-bad on the new Z4s....looked a little bare perhaps when compared to the exterior but not bad. Where is your office located? I will check my calendar to see if I will be able to make it to that meeting.

I was pretty non-comittal on the interior )"not my style") until I saw it next to a Z8... the Z4 is a total cheap imitation and it just makes me cringe now.

Can anyone confirmed what was said on page 1, about the Z4 not having an LSD???
