He said it was australia, so must be overseas only model. Good question , I would assume a 3.5, probably M30? Since that was the engine for the e34 535i of that year.

m30 wouldnt fit in a 3er, only the m20 would fit.

...thats right. 2.7 was the highest, eta engine. highest non-eta engine was 2.5 (e.g. 325i).

Your car is screaming for new wheels... Bottlecaps suck, imho. after that, make it nice! Sound is always a good option if you wanna spend money...

Also, if you are looking for some more umph, I would go with an engine and tranny chip.

It also looks like she needs a detail, get some meguiars, some polish, clay bar , spend a day on it and bring the paint back up to par.

you could also acquire some basketweaves, i think they come in 16" (edit: actually looks like theyre 15")?, if you don't want to spend a lot on new rims.

That really sucks, I had to do the same thing when I got my first car because I did not have my license yet.

atleast I can do some small things to it so when I do start driving it will look good.

Yeah, BMW themselves even offered an M30-based 333i E30 (turbocharged, even!) in South Africa, they only built about 200 of them tho. I'd say that means an M30 will fit :)
