how strong is the trannys in the 535i , i have a 89 535 that ia m about to turbo and just wondering how strong the auto tranny is

I'd convert it. It is a fairly simple and straight foreward swap :)

The auto will break in very short order.

thanks gusy but what do u know about the level 10 tranny or ones built by itp, i was just looking at seeing how much that stock tranny can hold and then put in one of the built autos , anyone have any input on built autos for a turbo 535

Do you not know how to drive a manual? It is not that hard.

Anyway, if you build (or have someone build) an auto that can handle that power, then go for it :)

yea i can drive an manual( i have a 05 srt4 with stage 3 and a 540 whp stang wiht a t56 so yea i can drive a manual just fine but why not be a little different and have a nice built auto
