Car wont start so I thought the OBC was the problem. I accindently entered 1000 as the CODE and car started honking, hood was open. It stayed unreset overnite. I finally figured out that it was my starter. Replaced it but when I turn the power on there was a bonging sound. It was asking for the CODE. I dont know the CODE. Now my windows, sunroof and wipers wont work. I checkd the fuse link next to battery no damage. Checked all fuse. Took battery off for 1hr. I unlocked OBC everything else work but MPG, MPH dont. I have not tried to check the fuse underneath the rear passengr side yet. I dont know if thats what I need to do. Please help, the A/C running all the time, gas so HIGH this day.

You must have unintentionally set the driveblock code and forgot it--I would have thought that disconnecting the battery would have done the trick, but apparently not...check the owner's manual and see what it says...

What is a driveblock code? There was a thread about using the VIN #. Is that what it is? Thanks

In the owners manual, you can set a CODE when you turn the car off--the ignition will only turn back on once this code is entered...did you try punching in 1000 again and pushing s/r once it blinks CODE when you're trying to start?

Im not really sure if the car has reset itself or what. It starts but I have all my windows, sunroof and wiper not working. I will try what you suggested. But I dont have the original CODE. Will try it with 1000.

The wipers work when I turn to high. Im starting to think that maybe its the comfort relay if it has one. Windows & sunroof in-op. Does anyone know where the comfort and interlock relays are located on a E34/1991 525i. Thanks in adv.
