Hi guys -

How many guys have CAIs on their tow vehicles? I just installed an AFE on the Suburban - we'll see how it does to Infineon and back.

I never realized it, but the guys at AFE say trucks are 75% of their business. They say amazing what they can get (they have a dyno at their facility) performance and mileage on diesels and turbo diesels with an intake an software.

I have one on my 2001 powerstroke turbo as well as a 5 inch exhaust. it is not just about power but more importantly about keeping the turbo as cool as possible.
the filter on the intake is larger than a full roll of paper towels.

I put the full kit on my '03 Sierra 2500HD, 6L gas. I'm thinkin' I might have gained .5mpg, but I've had problems with it. When I stomp on it to get on the freeway, it tends to bog. When I first got it I called AFE and they gave me some suggestions. I thought I had it licked but it's now doing the same. I think I'd have been better off to just do the filter. All in all, I'm not a happy customer.

I also have a CAI, Diablo Predator, and 4" turbo back exhaust on my F250 diesel. It rocks.

I have an AFE CAI on my powerstroke also along with a ball bearing turbo and a 4 inch turbo back exhaust. Works great, sounds like a tractor! :D

I have a CAI on the Denali.... but I think all the extra noise it makes is not worth it for the long hauls.

Seeing that a chip nets you up to +500ft/lbs and +100hp, wouldn't you rather spend the money on that?

Racing budget invaded the truck budget, so my truck mods will have to wait. :-(
