Just wanted to say thank you to John Paul at KO Performance. He went out of his way to track down a composite water pump for me and get the story behind them.

After much searching he was able to find out that the pump was actually a "plastic" pump that was identical in part numbers to the original BMW plastic pump, but with a composite impeller.

He was also able to get me a great deal on the pump after I had accidently purchased a metal pump from his group-buy.
