View Full Version : Anyone here from San Francisco?
JuanPac0 09-06-2006, 01:21 AM I've seen some pretty sweet BMW's around the city. There's a nice dark purple M3 a few blocks away from me, belong to any of you? :D
Also, this is my first post on this forum, and I must say, you guys rock from the topics I've seen. A truely genuine community. Awesome! :wow:

3 way visionz 09-06-2006, 02:39 AM Im in marin, just across the bridge. Where in the city. I have a friend with a daytona violet M3, dropped on coilovers with DSII's. If the car is always dirty its probably him. :stickoutt
SR20Fastback 09-06-2006, 02:41 AM theres a ton of people from the bay... there are also a lot of meets around here too. check out the regional forum/california section.

Ooh, nice. Probably is it, he needs to wash that thing. :P I was thinking of how flippin' sweet it would be to drive that thing. It's on Lawton, a block away from me, right near the school, he usually parks it at the end of the block (bottom of the hill leading to Noriega).
But hey, I'm a 16 year old on my permit driving my dad's 1998 528i (auto, haha, I'd hate to drive a stick downtown), with no experience in BMWs (past the willingness to learn) so I'm sure you guys wouldn't be interested in me. :P I'm getting my license in Feb, so maybe I'll come down to a meet just to see how it's like there. Everyone on this forum seems so knowledgeable and amazing, it's pretty intimidating. On a side note, I've driven my mom's '06 330i but it feels too twitchy to me. You think it's just my inexperience or what?
Edit:
Looks pretty much like this, but dirtier (copy+paste, I don't have privs yet):

Welcome to Bimmerfest. I drive around Lawton/Kirkham 1-2x a week to drop my kids off. Once you have your DL, let the moddings begin (that's if ur parents let you have the E39!) Maybe I'll see you around one of these days :)
ThatOneGuy 09-06-2006, 01:53 PM SF here, twin peaks area. Welcome.
Huyfromsactown 09-06-2006, 02:22 PM sf here, park merced villas....
rcristobal 09-06-2006, 02:42 PM I know where your at.
Grew up Noriega/43rd and my parents still live there.
Seen many bmw's parked in the area.

Haha, I think I've actually seen your car once or twice. I was like :eek2
(My dad says I'll probably get the car on my 18th birthday, in the meantime, I'll plan mods... and I'll look for a job, haha, there're so many things to I want to do that car. I don't think white does it justice)
But yeah, if I see you around, I'll give you a  for sure.
I hope I get to see all of you guys around sometime, maybe at a meet even?
Btw, this is what I drive in the meantime, so if you see it try not to laugh at me too much, there's a lot of modding on the way once it's mine. :buttrock

BigKidD 09-06-2006, 10:49 PM East Bay, Walnut Creek when I'm not in school. I travel over to SF on occassions, usually over by folsom & harriet.
SF has quite a bit of BMs, especially m3s. Also, there's a mini-pic of my car in my sig.
K2sfc 09-06-2006, 10:55 PM Dont really have any pics but heres one from a meet from last week
JuanPac0 09-06-2006, 11:11 PM You guys have absolutely beautiful cars. How much would a decent M3 run? $10k?

depends on mileage and age, but about $13-14k would be a fair price on an m3 with mid to high miles.

SC David 09-07-2006, 12:01 AM I live over in Daly City now, but I'm in SF most of the time. My friend lives on 20th and Lawton, so I'm over there near you a lot. Welcome to the forums! Must be tough learning to drive in the city, I can't imagine!

Hah, when I went with my driving instructor we actually drove around Daly City. =D Not exactly sure which streets, but it was a bit past the theatre. If I ever see you around I'll be the guy who crashed into a pole staring at your car. :lol
But yeah, the only bad thing about living around here are the horrible drivers on Noriega. (I live half a block from the safeway), people in Daly City are SUCH better drivers from what I've seen. But I look forward to seeing you around some time, if you get a  from a guy driving a white 528i with his parent (:( ) then that's me.
JuanPac0 09-07-2006, 04:46 AM If anyone sees a white 528i around Stonestown tomorrow morning gimme a honk. :)
