Like the title says it looks like my 1992 325i needs to have its A/C recharged. Anyone know of any good/cheap shops that can do it? Also how easy would it be to do it myself?

Pretty damn easy to do this yourself. I just did this to my sister's car a few months ago. Go buy the can from the parts store with the tube and quik-connect valve on it. Hook it up to your low-end with the car on and a/c running full blast and fillerup. Just do it in the parts store parking lot and if you need help, the boneheads at the parts store can probably guide you.

Doesn't the 92 take R12? If so and he wants to DIY it then he'll need the R134a conversion kit.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the 1992 is R12.

The R134a can method is alright, but to do it properly, you need to vacuum purge the system to remove any water vapor as well.

But honestly, why are BMW ACs so wimpy compared to domestics or asian cars?
