Went to Denver for the weekend. On Saturday evening I am heading south on I-25 just north of Denver from Ft. Collins. As we are approaching the city I see a red E36 two cars in front of me in the left lane. I was hoping traffic would clear or open up so I could get next to him and wave and maybe later post a bf.c connection. Suddenly I notice dust or smoke from the northbound side of freeway and out of the corner of my eye I see a tire and rim come sailing over the median and toward our line of traffic. It must have been 30 feet in the air. It comes down and nails the red E36 right in the grille. The front of the car explodes all over the freeway and he veers for the right shoulder. Some how he got across three lanes of traffic without hitting another car. Me and the car in front of me serve to the left should and drive through the exploded front end pieces of the E36. Somehow neither of us hit anything and we keep going.

Does anyone know who this might be? If no one got killed it is a miracle. That wheel could have come through the windshield.

I drove through his wreckage at about 75 mph. I was in the left lane and he went to the shoulder on the right side. By the time I could have stopped I would have been a half mile down the road on the other side of a three lane interstate. I wouldn't have been able to do anything.

It wasn't a M3 was it? I have talked to a local guy up here in Ft. collins a bunch of times that drives a red E36 M3.

I am pretty sure it was a regular E36. But, I didn't get a close look, since I was not directly behind him nor did I get beside him.
