Major service performed May '06: pulled cylinder head and received stage 1 service by VAC Motorsports (replaced valves and lifters, balance valve springs, tolerance, decked head). Also had Schrick 256/264 duration cams installed at this time. New OEM radiator with flushed fluid (new fluid OEM BMW coolant with water wetter). New OEM water pump with black composite impeller. Oil change with 15W-50 Mobil 1 Ext. Fuel injectors cleaned and calibrated by RC Engineering. New intake boot. Proper break-in for cam install followed (rev to 2000 rpm for 20 mins to get oil up into valvetrain area of head).
Another major service was performed about 10 months ago: rebuilt the bottom end (including new rod and main bearings) when the VAC oil pan baffles and cooler were installed. A new OEM clutch and lightweight flywheel were also installed at this time.
Every service was meticulously executed.
