I can help you out for the bay area. I'm currently in Berkely right now though, but if i have enough interest i can head back down to San jose and work there for a weekend. email me, samuel_li@comcast.net

i remember reading about yours sam, but no offense, but stereooptions has posted numerous pictures of his work and whatnot, and i remember your thread having people asking you to post pictures, but never have. i would like to see some pictures of your work to see what i would be getting if im paying, especially if im having multiple cars detailed at once. picture is worth a thousand words, and im sure its a must to earn the business of most bfcers.

yeah i feel you. i posted one or two threads with my work. but let me find them.

here's one of them: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=576010

I mean there's a lot of detailers out here in the bay area advertising, i'm just putting myself out there. I get work mostly through word of mouth. You can try out AJ Auto Detailers if you'd like, they're really good.

i gotcha. i see the pics. very impressive. what are your rates and schedule like. i work mostly during the day and most of my friends to as well, either work/school or both, so weekends would be great.

i just need to know

what you use for products
what do you charge (especially if i can get a group of people to come)
and if you offer discounts if i worth with you through it all. ive only done a couple of details and normally take my car out to do so, but would always like to learn more about proper techniques of this craft. let me know.

could you come to the san fernando valley? A couple friends and I might be able to pull 6 cars up. I will let them know. Let me know if you are able to come around this part of town.

So far time is my only constraint. I'm an Autopian (autopia.org member) and follow many of the methods they use. I'm currently a Berkeley student, so time is a big factor right now. But here are some of the products i use. Depending on how bad the vehical is, usually a full inteiror exterior detail is about 140-190, but discounts are avaible if you want to help or have friends. If you bring friends, i can give you a 10 dollar off for everyone you bring in. But here are my products that i have and use (most of these you can get off top of the line.com). Group rates are uslaly about 15% off with 6+ cars, and plus the $10 dollars off for you to you on the next time.. I can teach you the steps and techniques i use while i detail your car and your friends. A helper is always nice :). I just don't have an extra PC for you to use, but if you have one i have the pads and every other products.

1) HTEC (Hi-Temp Extreme Cut) + Optimum Polish 50/50 mix.
2) Paint Perfection by Hi-Temp, (Light Cut+ 3 month sealant)
3) Menzerna IP with LC Orange Pad
4) Menzerna FP II LC white pad
5) Poorboys SSR 2.5 LC Orange Pad
6) Meguairs Hot Shine (for the tires)
7) Meguairs NXT - Paste Wax (final stage wax)
8) Klasse AIO & SG, upon Request for protection and cleaner
9) Snap seal if the car is in good condition (TOL.com), it takes off contaminatnts and also leaves on a 2-3 month sealant. (when i don't need to polish).
10) and the usual interior stuff, vinyl/leather cleaner from TOL.

there's much more to it, but it's too much to name. I can go through it with you if you want me to when you come by. But give me a call or email me to set up an appointment first. If you're friends are interested let me know ahead of time so i can give you a pricing. 4082504229

Hey I just checked this regarding the details in the valley, I could do it only if you could get at least 8 cars just because of the fuel costs for me to get out there or if one of the 6 cars is getting a higher priced package. I need to cover my costs and pay my employee :) Call me 714-612-6020 for fastest response
