View Full Version : Sport Version? Cory 09-04-2006, 07:35 PM Do you think there'll be a stripped down version without all the luxury features? xlifelessdaysx 09-04-2006, 08:22 PM probably dmw 09-04-2006, 10:48 PM Other than buying it with no options, no. bmw m3 s50 09-12-2006, 05:51 PM From what I have read in the mags. BMW has confirmed a bmw m6 csl and a new e92 m3 csl TheMossMan 09-12-2006, 05:54 PM From what I have read in the mags. Amen dmw 09-12-2006, 06:03 PM Hopefully this tim they'll send it across the pond..... They can keep it. The E46 CSL was still a pig at over 3000 pounds. And wasn't it priced well over $100,000? For that price I'd take a 911 GT3. bmw m3 s50 09-12-2006, 08:18 PM They can keep it. The E46 CSL was still a pig at over 3000 pounds. And wasn't it priced well over $100,000? For that price I'd take a 911 GT3. Yea but now you can buy one over there for like 45-60k. One thing most people don't realize is that dealers were getting a premium for these csl cars. I saw one listed on a britsh classifled for $40k pounds I do understand that that equals to over $80k USA dollars but a regular e46 M3 over there is still 30k to 40k pounds so not that much difference on price. So I don't think it would be $100k over here in USA, Prob the same difference in price as the LTW's which were priced at $46,000 were the standard m3's were priced at $32-$35k like a $10k more and that was back in 1995. ALSO the gt3 over there is over $100,000. They always said the CSL is a hair under the GT3 but priced like $15k less. Don't beleive me check out the top gear video on the BMW M3 CSL And the GT3 is like 50 to 100lbs lighter then the CSL not by much. Cory 09-12-2006, 10:49 PM I went looking at used M5's and new M3's today. What ever happened to the days of an engine, stick shift, some wheels and seats and maybe a nice stereo? I think I'll find me a nice later model E36M3 and call it a day. It's all way too complicated. bmw m3 s50 09-12-2006, 11:22 PM Try the e46 m3 it is totally different beast!!!! Also if your looking for a e36 m3. I am selling soon my 1995 m3 with widebody, 1999 3.2 OBD1 swap, and a ton of goodies. Cory 09-12-2006, 11:40 PM Thanks. I really just started looking today. The sales rep was explaining the transmission to me and my head started spinning. I became very annoyed with the modern technology. bmw m3 s50 09-12-2006, 11:41 PM Forgot the SMG bull$hit get a 6-speed manual Mr.M 09-12-2006, 11:43 PM Do you think there'll be a stripped down version without all the luxury features? Good God I hope so. But an M6 CSL? :confused The M6 is and always intended to be a GT car. I don't a CSL version would sell, especially in the US. The CSL ran r-comps while the GT3 ran street tires. R-comps are a huge advantage. bmw m3 s50 09-12-2006, 11:45 PM I never said if it would sell or if it would even come to the usa, just said that bmw intends on making a CSL version of the M6 with more power then the current and lighter |
