Hey guys, I am redoing my system, and can't decide how I should mount the amps. I definately want it to look good, and still be able to slide items (ig, snowboard, bags etc) into the trunk. Here are 3 ideas I am currently entertaining. pics are from fellow bfc members, hope they don't mind.

creating a sliding shelf that is mounted to the rear deck.

mounting the amps to the rear shelf (right side up of course)

mounting the amps to mdf on the trunk floor, and boxing them, so there is a "step" covering the amps (possibly with a plexi window)

I will be mounting 2 ED nine.2 amps. I have jl stealths in the stock rear speaker locations, and my crossovers are behind the carpet where the stock amp used to be.

any input, or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'd pick the underside of the rear shelf. Sliding tray FTL.. floor mounting takes up valuable space no matter what you do with it.

I vote for sliding shelf...since that's mine:stickoutt

Only thing you need to do is make sure you make the shelf curves along the front like the trunk and get locking slides.

I've had no problems associated with noise or anything. You can even drive with it open (it locks open too) and it gives you easy access to fine tune it/show off when you open the trunk.
