Hi,

I usually post on the bmwcarmagazine forum but i thought i'd get the opinions of people on here as well.

I've got a E46 330ci auto/tip and although I am happy with the power the choice of gear the car decides to select is poor. I have to floor it when i pull off in order to get a way, where as you'd expect in a 330 you'd just have to squeeze the throttle and you'd be away.

I've also noticed recently that the acceleration has deteriated. I was driving home the other day and as the car changed gear there was a loud clunk/bang and the car juddered/jumped - like when your foot slips of the clutch - only I don’t have a clutch.

Ever since then it seems like the car is revving but I’m not getting the power/movement to accompany to revs/noise from the car.

Would a re-map help or do i have more serious problems?

Have you checked a tranny fluid, make shure it is not below the level, cuz one of the simpthoms when tranny starts skipping, is jerking ,not transmitting all the power ,etd. Let us know if you have any other simpthoms,or problems.
