my nav cd was mistakenly thrown away and I need to get another one. Anyone have any suggestions on where best to get them without having to go back to the stealership?
Also, is there any way to update the Nav system for the 2003 745i? It would be nice to get the system updated to whatever the current software rev is but I don't know if that is even possible. Any ideas?

Yep, go to www.navteq.com (http://www.navteq.com/) and put in your car model and they will tell you what disc you need. Looking at about $149.99 to $199.99 for the replacement disc.
Newest sets are 2006.2 I think but still those maps are old. My community has been here for over 2 years and it still does not show up on the navs mapping software.

I have a few left over from the set I bought....
Where are you?
I have a 2003.2 for California, that you can have for free....just pay shipping.
I also have Disks 5 & 7 from the 2006.2 set.
(5 = Midwest, Ohio valley, 7 = Southeast) those I will ship to you for $40.

I'm in slc utah so I would need the maps for that area if possible. Do the ones you have work for slc?
On that same question, do the area specific nav maps also have general maps for the entire US? ie, if I go on a trip to texas driving from utah, will the general rodes be covered?
