I posted over the past week on my intentions and now it's a reality. A 2000 740i Sport with widescreen navi and MK3 software, 97k on the clock and everything else great! I already bought the taillights from umnitza. Next I want the front clear corners like the 01's and don't know where to find them. I have crappy radio reception and want to fix asap... Also, this car has a Dinan CAI. How do I find out if there is a chip or not. (DINAN emblem on trunk). Thanks in advance and I'm sure I'll have alot more Questions. I already know about bimmerboard and E38.

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the forum. There are many type of clear corners out there but if you are looking for the US clear for 01's (That's the clear with the amber stripe) you can purchase it from your local dealer. Euro clears are easily purchased from your dealer also and from places like http://www.bavauto.comand http://www.bmtown.com to name a couple. There are also several variation after market Euro type clears that can also be purchased on EBAY as well.

You can take your vehicle to any Authorized DINAN BMW dealership and they can verify what DINAN software/parts were purchased and installed. If you have a DINAN CAI then you will have a minimum STAGE 2 Engine software loaded. If you also have a DINAN Badge then more work might have been performed including a Transmission software upgrade. I say might because although the badges can not be purchased and are only awarded via a point system, there have been some legitimate DINAN owners who have sold their badges on Ebay. Good luck to you and be sure to post pics of your new treasure.

Thanks for posting up for me. I've noticed not too many people respond to threads. Is that something of the norm on this forum? Thanks.

Hey, hey, hey......

Lot's of the folks on this forum have a real life, unlike you and I.

I would be somewhere else this weekend if it were not for Home Depot's insistence tha I stick around for their great Labor Day Weekend bash....but next weekend....look out....it's off to Sedona, Arizona for me....again.

It does seem that the same people are up on forum day after day, some contributing more than others. Remember, many are new to the forum such as you, and still seeking answers to their questions, but most know their cars inside and out, have few problems, and consequently need less advice. You'll recognize who they are when they post.

Stay with us, we all love our cars probably more than our computers (or our significant others).

Thanks. I don't mean anything by it. It's just that on my other forum when you ask a question you pretty much get an answer quick. I'm new here and so far I have gotten so much info. and I will continue to sign on for knowledge on this awesome car that I own!!!!
