I have my car (1999 323i) at 88k miles and want to get regular maintainence stuff done.. I went to the dealer and he said I need a tune up on the car and gave me a score of $1200+..
So, Can anyone tell me what all I need to get done at an independent repair shop ( if u know any near Zip 07093, that 'd be great too)..

I didnt have any inspection done at 60k, but I had the coils replaced along with air and oil filter replacement. and already got the rear shocks done..
Just getting new brakes +rotors ( Brembo discs along with Akebono ceramic Pads with shims)

Pls pls pls give me some advise...

That is absolutely rediculous, as 90,000 miles the inspection shouldn't cost you more than 500 bucks. But, you need brakes as well? That may be why the price is high.

For $1200 they listed only Inspection 1.. no brake work>>>
Can you list/identify any good mechanic (cheap too wouldn't hurt.. having a cash crisis) near zip code 07093??
I did get Brake Pads + Rotors and fuel filter from a website for a good price.. would need to find some decent mechanic to do the job for me.

Thanks guys...

just check around your area for a foreign car repair shop. if you have the parts they should do your brake work for around $100. Stay away from dealers for your easy fixes.
