i have a 1998 bmw 323is and i just took out the stock unit and put in a eclipse 54410 cd player

i installed it myself and my brother checked it so all the installiation was done correct with a wire harness not hardwire

it plays the radio fine
when you put a cd in it shows the track and counts the time exactally like its playing a cd but no sound comes out


any suggestions ??????

You have the REM turn-on lead, for the amp, connected to the power antenna lead on the deck. Therefore, the amp only gets turned on when the tuner is selected. Many decks have both a REM lead and a Power Antenna lead. Fix that and you'll be good to go.
