Please help me. I'm desparate.

As I was telling before, I have a Chevy Blazer 1993 truck in Georgia (Cartersville). I'm on the other side of the country and I can't do anything with it. I'm waiting for a clear title on it as I'm typing this. I had to re-finance my car and throw $5K on top of what I already owe. Now I have to pay for extra 12 months on it :(

I'm willing to give it to anyone, that'll give me something for it. Or I need a person in the area, who has a DIGITAL CAMERA. In that case I can get pics of it's current condition and put it on EBay.

In about a week I'm even loosing the parking, where it's parked right now. Then it will get parked somewhere on the street and it will get towed away. I will not be going to the area in any near future, so I can't do anything with it. I would hate to get it inpounded and then just throw the Title in the trash and forget about it.

As far as I know it got misused and abused. The Windshield is cracked, the side mirror is busted. The glove box is not locking.

That's how it looked, when I bought it.

It's got 103K miles. As I was told, the OIL pump has to be replaced. And because of the low oil pressure (since it drops a couple of minutes after you start it) the rod starts knocking. So, that's about a $1,000 job.

I don't know what to do. I've been suggested before to donate it, and use it as a tax write-off, but I already have enough write-offs, that I'll get every dollar that I paid, anyway. So, it's pointless.

Call Jewish Family Services or the Salvation Army and ask them if they will help you retrieve it. Or even the USO.

Until the title is clear, you are technically stuck with it, whatever the condition might be. But they might be able to help you sell it for enough to clear the title. Maybe more.

It's being re-financed as soon as my BMW title get's to my bank. I mailed it out for re-financing on last Friday, so once they get it, and complete the paperwork- I'll get the Clear Title on the Blazer

I live in Acworth, which is about 7-8 miles from Cartersville. I have a digital camera. I could zip up there and take some pics of it and email them to you so you can put it on ebay.

Anyone else in the area. Just in case, if it takes more than a couple of weeks to sell it, maybe someone has a spot, where thay can park it? Or knows someone, who would buy it. Even for parts

I would help you out but I live 70 miles from Cartersville.

Just think of all the ambulances you could chase on the way there during the storm tomorrow. This could be a million dollar opportunity :)

My warehouse is 20 miles south of ATL. Have it towed to my factory location and it can stay there til you sell it or whatever. PM me to make arrangements if you need it.

as a second thought, shit if I can help you sell it in the area I am open for discussion.

How should I word it on EBay for the best way to cover my ass.

There were mechanics coming out to look at it and I got different verdicts.

One said, that the oil pump has to be changed, and the rod is knocking because the engine is not getting enough oil

Second one said, that the engine is about to "throw" a rod, and that the whole engine has to replaced.

Third said, that it might be either.

Then I talk to my friend in the military, who's been a mechanic on military equipment (including mostly Chevy vehicles), and by what I told him- he says that all it is, is a oil pump has to replaced. That you the rod is knocking because of it, and even if the rod is about to "throw", it can be fixed for under $1,500.

Look for a car that is similar, and just borrow wording that seems to apply.

Just make sure you mention that the car needs work.

That is correct. $80 + extras if it sells.

If you just want something for it, try taking it to Carmax (if it runs)..... they'll buy anything, just maybe not at your asking price.

it doesn't even run now. Today I'm towing it to the streets of Cartersville and just dumping it there (I got the clear title for it a week a go--wohoo, it's paid off now).

So, if anyone wants some stuff off of it, go ahead and stop by. I'm gonna leave unlocked withkeys in it. I just don't care anymore.
