I'm installing a sub/amp setup and I need to tap the speaker line inputs off of the main amp. However, I cant seem to find it. I pulled back the paneling on the left, and all I can seem to find is a wiring harness going to the rear lights. Wheres the amp thats supose to be there? Help!

BTW: I have an E36 98' 323i Convertible

well.. in the regular E36 the amp is on the drivers side behind the panels in the trunk. Dont know about a vert tho.

We did a system in a 325iC. I think it was a '95. The factory amp is behind the right rear seat. Very hard to get to.
