Back in June, I ordered a German license plate and corresponding city and year decals for my M3 from europeanplates.com. What a disaster! I would caution anyone from doing business with these guys. I placed my order for the plate on June 13. On June 30, I sent them an e-mail requesting status of the order as I had not heard anything from the company. They replied on July 3 saying the plate would be shipped July 5. On July 10 I sent another e-mail requesting a tracking number as I had not received product or any notification it had shipped. They replied the next day and said they were still waiting on the decals, and they would ship together as soon as they got the decals. On July 24, I sent another e-mail as again I had heard nothing from them. They did not respond to that e-mail so I sent them another on July 31 again requesting an updated status on the order.

On August 1, they replied that the plate number was stamped incorrectly and that they had corrected the error and the plate had shipped the previous Friday. No tracking number was provided. A week later (Aug. 7) I received the plate, but no decals. I sent another e-mail that day asking where the decals were that I paid for, and they replied the following day saying they still didn’t have the decals (a full two months after I placed the order!), but would check the status for an ETA. I then sent e-mails on August 14, 23 and 29 asking for an update. All three e-mails went unanswered. Finally, I filed a complaint with PayPal to get my money back on the decals. I was promptly given a refund for that portion of the order.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this company? I have to admit I have never experienced such a lack of customer service or responsiveness from any company I have ever dealt with. Does anyone have a recommendation on where would be a good place to get the German decals?
dos Santos 08-31-2006, 12:19 PM I made a thread last year about this company. It took me 6 months to get my plates. And the first one they sent me was incorrect. It's in the vender forum.
volcomnator999 08-31-2006, 02:03 PM i dont know about you guys...but i got my plate in the GB and sent to me very quickly
blueapplesoda 08-31-2006, 02:07 PM yess they took awhile to get my pair of plates, and even then they were wrong. i asked for reflective back, but they use white....then about 2 months after i buy it, i recieve this mystery package in the mail, and guess what. Another set of plates, but this time with the reflective backs..i onlypaid 20-25$ for the set...i say no worries....
kristoj 08-31-2006, 02:08 PM I searched the vendor forum and the only post I saw was from the company offering discounts. I'll have to move this post to the vendor forum.

Reply made on S14.net If you plan to go to every site I am on I will have my lawyer contact you immediately. We sell custom items and they can take time. The seal you ordered is not a stock item. There where two transcation and the first one was completed, the second one was for the custom seals and it has been refunded. I offered on s14 the seals for free. If you do not want them fine but I do not appreciate this and do not understand the Email communication issue.
Dos santos we completed your order and went what I though was above and beyond to complete your order.
Yes both these order where goofed up but we will go out of our way to make every order even these correct. What a lot of people do not realize these are custom made and we are a high volume company so mistakes and such do happen. What makes use different we will take car of any mistakes warranties etc. We just ran GB a fe months back with above expectetions on the complete deal with over 50 plates.

kristoj 09-01-2006, 09:02 AM When a customer complains about not receiving a product he paid for two and a half months ago and that his e-mails go unanswered, why not threaten him with legal action? I am more than willing to work this out now that we have "re-established" communications. But let's not overcomplicate it. You send me the product I ordered; I pay you back the refund you gave me; we're all set!
europeanplates 09-01-2006, 12:38 PM John,
Got your PM and replied. I am sending out our basic seal set, small Bayern seal. If you want tp pay for that is up to but my offer stands. I will get the 89 seals complete even if I have to run a page of just that date.
Please keep the feedback post going if you feel better about this once the seals have arrived.
Thank you,
Tyler

Relax, these things usually is due to a mis-understanding. I dealt with Tyler, before from the group buy. He communicated with me very well, replying every email, and making sure I got the right item. He even sent me extra decals when not requested. The guy apologized and admitted that there was a goof-up. Give him a break, he mentioned a lawyer because, think about, he has tried to rectify the situation and the guy keeps going round screaming about how horrible his company is. Tyler has serviced many others without any complaint. Accept the guys apology and appreciate that he is even trying to work it out with you, most others won't return your emails or even try to rectify anything at all. Work it out and let it alone.
kristoj 09-24-2006, 10:23 AM Received the correct decals on 9/23/06 and resubmitted payment via PayPal on 9/27/06.
