View Full Version : Best One Day Drive Around Denver DeanP 08-31-2006, 11:47 AM I am looking for a recommendation from any locals for a scenic drive from the Denver area. About 6 hours round trip would be good. Monday I'm dropping my wife at a mall and will have some time to kill and want to find an enjoyable mountain road. We are driving through RMNP on Sunday, so I got that area covered. I was thinking south, maybe around Leadville. Theodore 08-31-2006, 12:56 PM West on 70, S on 9(Breckenridge), Hoosier Pass through Fairplay(aka South Park), 285E to Colorado Springs and then 25N to Denver. I was planning on it. After going through RMNP I thought we would go up to Walden and then back to Ft. Collins. That looked very enjoyable. |
