have a good friend of mine who is going through some tough times, and needs to get some information on getting a divorce. $$$, time, stuff like that
anyone have any friends or recommendations that you know of that do free consultations so she can get some questions answered.
any help would be greatly appreciated....

sushipower 08-29-2006, 03:37 PM All attorneys give one hour free consultation (the first hour), best is to interview several attorneys, find out which one she feels best with.
Fees varies from $150 to $250 per hour.
If kids are involved it can get nasty.
Assets are pretty much split in half.

Kewl... "The Wife" is a 4th year in NYC, med size firm, and we are just looking into lateral salaries here. We just had lunch with one of the partners and it looks like we will be taking a pretty big hit if she jumps in to a local firm.:shifty
