S'allright, Nemo. I've been there before. I gave up going downtown to Fat Tuesday so I could get some work done.

I'll be at the park tomorrow afternoon but back by 6 for sure. Perfect timing, too, since with the break in the weather I'll be trying to finish replacing that starter soon.

Schveet. AB's sounds good to me. Maybe we just meet there later.

Good meat overall at Famous Dave's.

Ribs were good and the Sauce Tour hit the Manhandler just right when it came to the Flying Monkeys.

I'm voting for Winslow's next month since it's in the River Market and centrally located for travelers from all points.

Many jokes about pedophilia were had and your name came up, Brady, followed by nervous coughs and uncomfortable silences as we all struggled not to acknowledge what we know of you.

Good times. Good times.

My blood pressure reading was high (understandably b/c I was still holding the coffee cup I'd been draining) so they retook it 4 times, each instance added 1-2 more nurses standing in a circle around the bench I was sitting on. I'll see you guys up there.
I was planning on washing my car today but after dealing with this stupid fat slut and her dad at work I don't have the fucking energy.
Dumb bitch brings her car in to change the timing belt and water pump, was quoted $350. the car needs cam and crank seals, a valve cover gasket (which comes off to do the timming belt), and drive belts, called the dad to ok the work, he does.
Then they come in and throw a fucking fit that the bill is so much more than what they were quoted. we take about $50 off the bill to get them the fuck out of there, but its just not good enough for them. then this stupid cunt starts fucking balling, it took everything I had not to pull out my phone and start taking pics of her fatt piggy looking cunt ass balling her eyes out, then offer a gift certificate to the abortion clinic of her choice if she wasn't happy with our service.
my boss did tell them "I'm was real sorry, but i'm not a fucking charity" that was pretty money i suppose.

/rant sorry I had to get that off my chest, see you guys in a bit.

Ladies and germs, a gem of an idea:

Defying tradition, mostly because it lacks due following, I've proposed to Brady and Randy that we move OMGWTFKCBBQ nights to Saturdays.

There are many places to explore and we're usually rushed on Wednesdays and many wind up having to cancel, so the thought is a more relaxed pace allowing us to include other activities or drives if they present themselves.

I'd also like to have some more gatherings in Lawrence. Logan's been a real trooper hauling up here every time, so we can reciprocate the effort and find more fare. Additionally, with the warmer weather, those single amongst us will appreciate the erudite, buxom scenery.

Speak your minds to the merits or cons of this shift. I'm trying to make things more accommodating overall for the group, so your opinion matters. Really. I care.

Currently my daughter has riding lessons late on Saturday afternoons, we usually go out to eat after. They likely won't be up for BBQ, and a six year old will thwart your guy's lecherous co-ed plans if they tagged along.

Overall you idea is sound and I like it. I just might miss a few more than I do now.

Reviving the thread. I'm hungry and ready to drive.

With Brady's help last night, I got my Guibo replaced, the OEM rear springs and sway bushings in, my Ferodo DS 2500 pads on and my Azenis 615 summer shoes.

Interestingly, my Rogue Engineering SS kit and WSR were rubbing on the Guibo *at their lowest setting*. I raised it about 1/4" and there's plenty of clearance now. The interference was on the order of maybe 1/32" and had polished the outer edge of the flex disc and accelerated some chunking at the peaks by the bolt sleeves.

But I'm tired and f'n hungry!

I want thigh and breast meat and lots of sauce, so I'm voting for another Lawrence outing.

Let's hear a consensus on what day of the week. Sat. seems off for some, but Wed doesn't leave much time to get there or do much after. How about a Friday event?

What about that Grandpa's place in Lawrence that closes early during the week, are they open on Saturdays?

Highway 5 to Leavenworth is always a fun drive. There has to be a BBQ place there. We could always reconoiter (sp).

Okay. This is like trying to corral a bunch of cheerleaders...

So, let's keep it simple. Sticking with BBQ this Wed:

Who's down for Lawrence? What options besides VERMINt?

Who'd prefer something in KC? I know Brady's out if we hit Lawrence, so perhaps KC this Wed, then plan a nice L-town outing for sushi on a Sat. since Dean is unavailable then and doesn't like fish.

I can give Ted a ride if needed. I'm in for BBQ on Wednesday and for cheerleaders anywhere in the bi-state area. I recall from the last L-town thing that the only other good BBQ in town was Grandpa's, and they close early.

Ohhhhhh, man.

I've liked most other places, but something about the beef itself at OK Joe's is just sublime.

Couple that with having one of my favorite BBQ sauces (sweet, tangy, zippy and spicy in just the right amounts. Goes well with kids) and I've developed a habit.

I thought of taking pics of the mounds of food, but only after I'd consumed most of mine. I still have a pound of beef in the fridge and about 6 containers of sauce. Where's the nearest grade school... :devillook

It was nice to meet John, too. Very sweet Avus ride. Ted's whip is looking gorgeous, too. The CF hood was inspiring and after looking at his ZKW's, I wanted to jab my OEM headlights out with my thumbs, take the car in a rear naked choke and lock myself in a garage with it until I'd spun every last spanner possible.

Stuck in the trade-off of no time to work on it while I work my a$$ off for the dough to treat it like I should.

But the new head, HG, headers and intake tract gaskets are rapidly coming up due. Wheezy starts I cannot have, no I kannot.

Good to see the crowd again. Next trip Lawrence. Vermont St. or Sushi (Dean, I'm sure they have cooked fish if you'd like. Or some Kung-Pao-General Tzo's-deep fried-spicy beef or the like)

I'd take you up on that in a heartbeat, but I wouldn't foist my OE headlights on anyone. They are every bit of 11 years old and 'frosted' to match. I've thought of polishing them as in that writeup, but never taken the time.

Great time at OK Joe's. Got to meet some great people, see some nice bimmers, and consume some delicious pulled pork. I should be available for a trip down to L-town this week. BBQ or Sushi? decisions decisions...

We have that place in Lee's Summit that we met at last time, Jun's on ~76th and Stateline, Kona on the plaaaaaaza, Sushi house in Town Center, some meh place on 95th and Nall, and I'm blanking, but know there is a place or 2 in Westport area. Thats off the top of my head, I know there is tons more.

You people are freaky.

THAT's the sushi I wouldn't trust. Give me a tall, warm sake, a SRHA and let me watch the chef at work.

Matsu's in Westport is very good. Jun's is supposed to be the best in KC, but I haven't made it there yet. Sushi Gin is okay, but not spectacular.

The one we went to for a meet a year or two ago wasn't bad. Still, Matsu's is my preference, having not had Jun's. I'd vote Jun's, tho, then Matsu.

And Dean, I'm sure they've got cooked fish, cans of tuna or regular entres that would sassify a land lubber like yourself.

But raw fish. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmm.

Mmmmm.

The Fortune Wok by my house (best Chinese evar) also open up a Sushi bar. It's at 143rd and Metcalf. I'm not big into sushi, I like most rolls. I did try eel once and I felt like I wanted to rip my tongue out through my trachea it was so disgusting.
