View Full Version : Aaahhhhh!!!!!
BARRY E36 M325 08-23-2006, 04:41 PM I wish I never did what I have now done to my doors. Kinda. I am back in school and the M3 is at the dealer getting a Dinan chip. So I am forced to drive the E21 and it has no side windows now. It has become royally gutted. I'll post pics in this thread later. So I am on edge about parking it and walking away since it's without windows. It kills me and I have been late for class already because I wait for the first spot to open up so that it's not hidden behind some buttf**k suv. I can't wait for a fully functional BMW to come back home.:(
blitzed310 08-23-2006, 05:20 PM You do the most practical things to your cars. So practical you can drive it anywhere, especially the track
jrcook320 08-23-2006, 06:23 PM do you mean you removed them completely or replaced them with Lexan? What does parking behind and suv have to do with that?
blitzed310 08-23-2006, 06:37 PM How much do the windows weigh?
jjgbmw323 08-23-2006, 07:04 PM do you mean you removed them completely or replaced them with Lexan? What does parking behind and suv have to do with that?
Steve Fitzgerald made them in Lexan. But his car had tripple side draft webbers, and a 2.9 m20. It was a track car.
Barry...Why?
I dont get it...
blitzed310 08-23-2006, 07:15 PM My BMX bike has CF handle bars and seatpost buts its a track bike.
Opps sorry, just posting nonsence nothing to do with anything posts in threads is a bad habbit
TheNeek 08-23-2006, 07:20 PM I just drank a mountain dew and my car is fuel injected.
CJ... do you think the people that make your CF handle bars and your CF seatposts could make a E21 CF hood?
Later,
Nic
blitzed310 08-23-2006, 07:20 PM I just drank a mountain dew.
Was it good? Did it feel like you injected NAAAAAWZ in your system?
TheNeek 08-23-2006, 07:30 PM Was it good? Did it feel like you injected NAAAAAWZ in your system?
I only had it because it would be kind of trashy to have coffee at 4:00pm.
Barry -- I hate to turn your thread into a Joe basher. So here's some advice:
A) Learn to change chips by yourself (preferred solution).
B) Realize that you will need more than one car you can drive on the street.
C) Understand that no one wants to steal an E21 (except all of us).
P.S. I still hate your sig... and mine isn't working... WFT?>

The point that went over your head is that Steve races his car at limerock,
and its not street legal. Its a beast, so lexan windows I can understand.
It has a full roll cage, and a dedicated track car owned by a driving instructor.
But for a street car, why do it?
TheNeek 08-23-2006, 07:35 PM Well, well. Thanks

The point that went over your head Joe is that no one cares. Barry removed his windows... they don't exist. He didn't replace them with lexan, or with gingerbread. He didn't even put plastic wrap over it. They are no more. Why would he possibly be worried about leaving his car sitting outside with lexan windows?
FYI, your car doesn't have to be a beast to warrant Lexan windows. Anyone that wants to save weight can do so. Shit I might just do it to piss you off.
kdanielson 08-23-2006, 08:09 PM I fully intend to install lexan quarter windows one of these days in my street car, glass weighs a ton and once I install the roll cage I'll have to trim weight somewhere to make up for that... I think a full cage and lexan windows fit right in on a street car! No, I'm not kidding either...
Oh, I agree... learn to change ECU chips yourself. Paying someone to do that is just lame!

The other point that went over your head, joe, is that the only slightly relevant point to your post was the fact that it's a track car and it has lexan windows. Then there was some stuff about stroker, m20, and did I hear a niner in there?

I'm going to one up you and go with industrial grade seran wrap windows, then drill a bunch of speed holes in my hood for lightening purposes, biatch!!
Cerpin TaxT 08-23-2006, 10:11 PM He didn't replace them with lexan, or with gingerbread.

blitzed310 08-23-2006, 10:31 PM :rofl Oh shit I blew Hefeweizen out my nose
Yonkers320is 08-23-2006, 10:50 PM some thieves will look at a car with the windows open (or no windows in your case) and immediately think of a set up by the police.....but I would not park it far away from where I can see it. I learned my lesson.....
Cerpin TaxT 08-23-2006, 11:02 PM there were lexan windows in my parts car.
waferman 08-23-2006, 11:34 PM :rofl Oh shit I blew Hefeweizen out my nose

holdfastgreg 08-24-2006, 05:01 PM I just shit myself in laughter.
Maybe it was those gingerbread windows or those gumdrop door locks.
Perhaps it was the gatorade quenching my engines thrist, who knows?

Okey... Barry. Your excuses are your own. I maintain the E21 which has a motor swap, stiff as hell suspension and bumpers that seem to undo bolts by themselves. I also maintain and daily drive one of the most high strung and finiky SUV's on the planet. I also have a gorgrous girlfriend with great "boobies" (as you so elequintly put it). Oh, and I do maintenance to her car. I have a 14 week old puppy, and did I mention I work about 90 hours a week.

Love ya sugar. This flame is to make sure you never post about being too lazy to do things a 4th grader could accomplish with 8 fingers missing and only one leg. You must have to work real hard on the ladies my friend if you don't have time to swap a chip.

BARRY E36 M325 08-25-2006, 03:35 AM ouch from all of you. And CJ. To be exact, I am possibly going to start dating this one cutie named Katrina if I come to my senses that this one girl named Brittany lives too far away. I love not being with Julia. Yea for me!!! So bag on me all ou want. I am having a fairly happy week. Maybe I'll bring this next girlfriend to the BMW meets. Or not.:D
This is Katrina. The one in the white button up shirt. I like her waaaay more than the little pug nosed dog I had for a gf before (Julia). And this girl is legal and is 108 lbs. So she won't crush me. :stickoutt
