I have a car and i have a motor but the donor car just got here today (when it was supposed to get here last week) so i don't think the M will be ready for this meet. I will have to drive the benz :bawl But are you are FOR SURE? If so, we are going to count you in. If you are, you are 9 FOR SURE's. BTW, what do u drive?

As it sits right now, I'm in.
I drive a stock '98 328iCab-Cosmos (Sport pkg). Not a speed racer, but like spirited driving. Am currently looking for some nice 17" wheels as I'm about to need tires anyway (and I don't want to buy new 16" tires).
Once I get the wheels/ties, then I'll do some suspension upgrades, then a reprogram (Shark Inj.) and that's it.
I have put smoked corners up front an Euro ellipsoids too. Car has tinted windows and is in need of a paint job, mainly up front. Will do that this Spring, I think. It's my daily driver.
BTW, I just saw a white M3 in Franlin, TN. It had "Animal Lover" tags and the guy getting out was wearnig a Kilt. No kiddin'. Looked like he was going to some Church event. Wonder if it was one of the guys meeting...
Are all of the meeters in ///M's?

outkastaliens
12-24-2002, 03:25 PM
No, i think two have M3's and then the others are like 328 ic's (silver) and some other 328's. Also some others might show up that aren't bimmers but they are welcome too. the guys that i am bringing down have a 318is and a 318 ic. I have tried to get a hold of a guy with an E46 M3 but i can't reach him. We will just have to see. Should be a nice meet!

We are meeting up there at 11:15 so we can roll in together. If anyone has questions, feel free to call me. I am very excited about this meet. My number, 270-836-5415

Well, in case Ray (silver323) didn't have you put me on the list, I'm coming in my Black E36 M3 and I'll have my two brothers with me (in my car, prolly). We *might* have some friends in Hondas/Acuras, but I doubt it. I'll see y'all there.

outkastaliens
01-02-2003, 05:48 PM
about 12 cars should be there.

outkastaliens
01-03-2003, 05:33 PM
Sad Sam's is a gas station off of I65 South at exit 112. After you get off the interstate you turn left and Sad Sam's will be on the left. If you look off to your right you will see a big pink elephant and a big indian. I suppose if we were to meet at Sad Sam's we should meet there at 11:15 maybe? That way we can make sure we have plenty of time to get there and won't have to worry too much about traffic and what not.

Guys, give me a call tonight or early tomorrow so we are all on the same page.

yeah, we had a guy in a nice 328 pull up and talk to us. he is on the boards but was shopping for the day. And it was REALLY funny when that infinity watched one of the black M3's do a donut and tried to speed off. We had a really good time.

Kramer

It was a fun day. We'll have to do it again real soon. I Have MS Streets and Maps and can mark off a really good route with lots of great twisties. They're everywhere were we went.
That's the fastest I ever went on the Trace by-the-way. It's a pretty fun road at that speed (not tellin').
Anyway, I have other friends with fun cars. Bikes too.
What we should arrange next is a 2-day trip to go run "The Dragon". Can overnight over there and really have a great time. Would get more Atlanta folks in on that one too. And NC.

Fun time indeed. Thanks for setting it up. Sorry I bailed early. I didn't thing much else was going on...

Mike
'98 328iC-Cosmos. Wheels on order. Suspension next on the list.

Hey Kramer, that two day meet sounds like a plan. Maybe in the spring when it is a little warmer i would be so down. Maybe a saturday and sunday! And about the hockey game, we didnt' even know that we were going until we were setting at hooter's and someone said they were selling $10 tickets. But yeah, it would be nice to fill the parking lot and have everyone else look as they go by. Oh yeah, the M will FOR SURE be done by then or i am kicking someones........well, you know

Hey that was me that pulled up in the 328. I really hate that I missed it and I am sure that you all had a great time. I will try to keep a better watch on the boards so that I don't miss the fun next time. I am in Murfreesboro so if you see me around give me a shout.

outkastaliens
01-06-2003, 08:28 PM
hey bear.......love your car man! Where those SSR GT3's?

Kramer
01-06-2003, 10:31 PM
Bear328, Glad you stopped by. Great car. What are the odds that you'd see us there at that time, etc...

Guys,
I managed to find my rims and ordered rims/tires today! YEAH BABY! I had to contact BBS myself. They had a limited # of polished RK's left. So I had Jim@Tirerack get them, put Yok AVS-ES100's on them and ship'em out. Should be in in a week or so.
Won't see any of those around, I'm sure.
I got 17X8 w/ 235/40-17's. Not too aggressive, but will definitely improve things both cosmetically and performance-wise.
Also, I found out that there are different spring sets for Cabs vs. either the coupe or sedans (those two are the same). I guess the rears are either stiffer (for extra weight of the cab rear end) or a bit taller. Still investigating, but that's my next move.

Oh yeah. I had my traction control on all day Saturday. Damn thing works all too well. OI forgot all about it.

Later,
Mike

I forget who, but I was talking to someone about a front lip spoiler and I mentioned the Reigher one for stock e36 fronts (non M3).
It's called the Reiger DTM Cup Spoiler and it looks pretty sharp on a stock front end. There's a little snippet of a picture on:
http://www.amimotorsports.com/main.htm
Go to body styling, then e36, etc. It's close to the bottom. I 'd like to see one in person, but I think for $200 plastic/$240 CF, it'd dress up the front nicely.
Just thought I'd throw this out there.

For all who enjoyed this meet, you'll definitely have to come check out how we gets down in the A-T-L. We had 25-30 cars in the parking lot... it was a sight to behold. We had passers-by (haha... I haav gud eenglish) gawking as they drove by and even two bicycle cops who stopped to check out everything and talked with us for about 15-20 minutes.

Not to mention, the drive was a 5-hour ordeal packed with plenty of thrills!!

Nashville was fun, no doubt, but y'all would REALLY love an Atlanta-style meet (if it was anything close to the one we had in December)!!

Can't wait for the vid, Ray...

outkastaliens, Thanks for the compliment, and they are SSR but they are the GT1's. Are you from Paducah? My sister lives there. I can't believe that I just happened in to the parking lot right then. It was great to meet some of you guys, and everyone there had great cars.

Yeah, man... come on down!! Bring friends!! We're aiming for getting it together in March or April -- it just depends on peoples' schedules with school and whatnot.

By then, you'll have the ///M, instead of that pesky Mercedes... pssshhhh.... ;)

01-07-2003, 01:47 PM
hey man, watch your comments ;) it was better than the damn 89 'stang i am driving. And hey, there were slower drivers than me on the day :) but the spring would be a great time!

Yes there were!!! That silly Civic Hatch with NO swap that I got stuck behind.

Then, I got stuck behind the Camaro in the good part of the road!!

J/K about the Mercedes, of course. They are awesome cars and I'd definitely drive any of the ones coming out now. Not slow by any means. In fact, I think they look FAR better than what BMW is putting out nowadays, styling-wise; not to mention the AMG line of engines are NOT to be taking lightly.
