Well as luck has it, I am in the works of making a all-in-one turbo kit for the m10. The kit will have everything you need to bolt up and run 6-8psi intercooled. Right now this particular topic is for the stage 1 kit. It includes log style manifold, wastegated turbo(plenty of turbo options), intercooler, piping, oil feed/return lines and hardware. Stage 2-3 will come later in this year and will have a heftier price as they will incorporate fuel components and such. I'm looking at a price of around $1500 for the stage1 kit intercooled. When I get the manifolds test fitted perfectly and all the specifics worked out(website, legal work, material stock and etc.) I will make a post and give the nitty gritty details. At that point, I will need a minimum of 10 orders to complete this transaction. A deposit of half the turbo kit will be required, and then the final payment upon ship date. Dont worry, it will be about a month before I get everything situation and perfect. As for now, no pictures, I want to keep you on the edge of your seats!

thanks,
greg

P.S - Thanks for you people out there who knew what I was up to and didnt leak it out of the forum.

Sounds like a fair price. What turbos do you have in mind? Do you plan on making kits for both the 2L and the 1.8L? What about engine management, or will this be soley on CIS? What about timing issues, fuel issues, etc?

Good luck.

Right now I carry Garrett, Tial, and a few different BOVs. Kit will be available for both 1.8 and 2.0. As far as fuel/tuning/engine management goes. I will determine the best route during the setup/tuning stage. Being boosted to 6-8 I dont foresee a huge fuel concern as its easily fixed by using the Audi WUR, coupled with a bigger FD will work out soundly. Running 6-8psi intercooler on premium gas(91octance or higher) should yeild perfectly as its been done before but like I said, it is in development so stay tuned. I'm looking at the most efficient way to run this setup with the best parts availab le. Feel free to send me an email at holdfastgreg@yahoo. I'll periodically update with new information.

*note: kit will be for 1.8/2.0 with CIS and Jetronic.

Having kept an eye on all the turbo posts and the power available vs a six, it would be of interest to me, but making a commitment to anything inside the next year at least would be disingenuous.

I hope it goes well though, because at the time of motor replacement a "bolt on" turbo kit would be attractive, especially anything near the $15-18 x 100 range.

got a price on a gt28rs?

Nic I got my APR stage III GT28RS for $600 used.

Greg, I have a buddy who may be interested in the turbo kit,
but he has been also thinking about a s14 conversion.

You can certainly displace more power for less money than what it takes to buy a s14. Add in boosted vehicles are a thrill to drive.

As far as parts, everything will be priced individually.
There will be core kits available to(some people call them stage .5,) itll include the turbo and log manifold.

Thanks.

That's super duper fantastic Joe. But unless you have another one that you can point me towards or sell to me for 600 bucks, this post basically just pissed me off even more. I'm really happy for you and your used turbo though. I seriously wonder if you think about what you're typing before you push the "Submit Reply" button.

Lol. Its for a new car i actually drive. Nic, there is a place that sells them in Canada and the prices for them new at Kinetic are about 1k. They have the GT 30R in case you wanted bigger. On vortex i have seen them used for less in the Forced Induction Classifieds.

Greg, can't wait to see how your kit turns out, there are a lot of people who would be interested in a kit like yours.

You don't need a turbo, you have a b6. If you want more power, just slap a 3.8L stroker under that valve cover. No one will know it's not stock :devillook

Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Nice B6, you lucky bastard. got any more pics?

I'd definately like feedback on what these kits should contain. This kit is for YOU, so having ideals and information will help me guide this kit into something everyone is 110% satisfied with. As soon as pictures are available I will make an update accordingly. I'll follow up with a dyno tune/run and then we'll see the kit on the market for sale.

Take note, this kit is to be run at 6psi, 8psi intercooled on premium gas(91 octane.) Our fuel systems(jetronic, CIS) wont be able to handle much more. Thus in stage 2 I will be adding fuel parts and in Stage3 there will be standalone fuel components to handle serious CFMs.

Thanks!
