View Full Version : Fuel filler vent/overflow hose?

Replaced the rest of the hoses on the top of my tanks (without lowering them, btw) last week, as one of them started leaking. My fault for not replacing them all at once when I did a couple of them.

Anyway, the big hose that runs from the filler in the trunk to the connecting breather hoses should be replaced too. However, I can't find any fuel safe hose locally that large. Any ideas? Just call Bavauto?

I bought mine at the dealer, a bit pricy but not too bad as I recall. Did it 4 years ago.

Get 5/8 at Napa, worked like a charm.;)

I refuse to use heater hose, as it will go bad in a short period of time. Has to be fuel hose.

The problem is that it is an odd size metric size not even a straight metric If we are thinking of the same piece it is like 12.5 id or something. I started with some of the blue race fuel line 5/8" No way was it going to push over the steel for me.

It is Gates fuel line, cost me $15 for ten ft.;)

Most of the hose you will see at Napa or other places IS fuel hose and we end up using it for the heater also...
