97 m3 Vs 87 or 88 Mustang 5.0 -from redlight- he jumped first but by the end of first gear i was half a nose ahead and just kept pulling through 4th - when I stopped - from a roll further down the road dropped to 2nd and crustang had no chance- All the better because he had his GF in the passanger seat.


m3 Vs IS300 -5 speed - some punk w/ sideways hat spins his tires off the line while i was behind him trying to act cool - he had 3 people in car. I didnt really feel like racing but he kept pressing and being annoying so from about 35 going around a turn he punched it and I got on it about a second after
gain on him through 3rd and passed him by the end of the gear around 6500
and walked on him through 4th -- he turned down a side street and after i made a u turn to go back home i saw him come out from the side street and i laughed - that seemed to make him mad but he didnt come close to me again.

The side street thing is funny. When I had my 91 318is, I got stomped by a girl in a CLK twice. Both times I'll take off, she'll catch and pass me and then toy with me. After the second time, i turned on to a side street. I was convinced then I needed at least a 6 cyl.

Yeah the 5.0 was no match for you, the IS300 might've had a chance if it didn't have an obviously incompetant driver with probably 600lb of passengers.

both cars never had a chance, the is300 is slow as hell for its engine type. 0-60 in 7 seconds for MT. 3L V6 with 215hp.

I was actually reading about the IS300's bc my buddy just bought one, and im hopefully getting my M3 very soon, so i compared some of the numbers just to make sure Id be able to have fun and beat him :) ..his is auto too .. I was shocked at the high 0-60 numbers for the IS, I expected closer to 6
