I'm trying to book a skiing trip sometime in January. Does anyony know of any good deals on lodging or lift tickets, or possibly hook me up?

I've been spoiled staying at Lions Square lodging, but I'll be paying for my trip this year and it's expensive!

Thanks,
Michael

No deals on lodging if you book this far ahead. I'm on Vail's mailing list, but you can only book those 2 weeks ahead of time and later on in the season only 1 week ahead.

I go to Breck every year with some friends and we buy a 5 day pass online from them. Get a bit of a discount and the ticket is like a season ticket w/o your picture on it. Nice to have something sturdy. I've had the same one for 3 years now and just keep "recharging" it with days. You can also link it to your debit card/bank and but food on the mountain with it. Nice and easy. If you wanna save, make some simple turkey sandwiches and eat those instead of buying the $10 burgers. THere are some shops that let you reserve your gear in advance for savings. I used to use blue river sports before I bought my own skis. They are nice. Check out the ticket thing at http://www.snow.com

So the best way to get a deal is to go ahead and buy plane tickets now, then wait 2 weeks before my flight to book lodging?

You gotta get on Vail's steep savers email list, then they'll send you the deals. However, it'll be a gamble to book flights now and hope that there will be deals available when you're coming out and at places you want to stay.
