So i'm driving down a straight neighborhood road that i usually travel on. i look in my rearview and see a white honda accord 2-door. i'm pretty sure this was a v6 and a year over 2000 cause it looked more modern. Anyways, he is riding my bumper like so close that i'm getting very angry. This road goes straight into the highway(not the interstate) at a 90 degree angle. this highway is two lanes one way and two lanes the other separated by the median. once i get to the intersection, i stop at the stop sign, look in my rearview, nod at him and he nods back. the kinda nod like "I mean business" cause I was pissed. once i checked to see if it was clear i put it in sports shifter and took it up to about 5 revs. I swung wide cause i had plenty of room and it made the left turn easy and fast. Once i straighten out i hit 80 in no-time and weave through light traffic.(I love BMW's in the higher gears!) i look back and he's pathetically trying to keep up but he never had a chance. My policy on tailgaters 101.

Sounds like you had a nutty jump on him.

I highly doubt this was the v6, or i highly doubt he was seriously racing. Me and my friend have raced about 3-4 times with mixed results. He would either get the jump and we'd stay even or i'd get the jump and we'd stay even, up to about 60, after that i'd be gone. But w/ a 525 im not sure you'd have much of a chance.

So why did you say it was a V6 if you weren't sure?

The LX and EX versions both had the color-matched door moldings; the DX did not. What is this LS you speak of? I know there were several of these "trims within a trim," like the SE, which was a low-end model (the seats looked different/crappier, it was much cheaper, etc.). The V6 badge was on the back like you say, so it would have been pretty impossible for the OP to know it was a V6, considering he never saw the back of the car.
I am hereby asserting that you didn't know whether it was a V6 and just said it was to make your car seem faster. ;)

i dont doubt the mighty 525i ...... nice kill
i beat a 00 v6 accord(had an intake) with my 93 325is no mods wats so ever. beat the living crap out of it. the guy was such a sore loser he threw a mcdonalds 24 oz coke which was open by the way into my car. so i think a 525 can easly take a v6 accord

The 525 may have a tight race. A 530 may have an advantage. I know I walk them (Along with 330s and 530s) with my X-Type 3.0.

I raced a 98-99 model, im pretty sure, V6. It was dead-even from a start, but we cut out at 65-70. If we were on the freeway it would be a completely different story man. Sounds like you guys went pretty high, when did you cut it off?

I think it would be considerably harder for the 525 since it is much heavier than the 325.
