just bought my first bmw a 95 325is black /black leather interior and although i dont approve of the automatic trans. i still love it but the car has about 160,000 and it seems to me like its lacking power could any help me get started on what i need to do to check the performance of this car and another thing i junked the intake box for an intake that did help the respoonse a little but my TCM light keeps commin on what is the cause of this is it inernal or it the tcm itself....the main problem is off the line car feels doggy as hell and at ike 50 60 miles per hour pow the power kicks in,,, so any help would be appreciated and im only gettin her to 118- 120 miles an hour ?


P.S. this is embarrasing but i cant get this car to break loose or powerbrake loose. i know quite a bit aobut cars im an ex: honda delsol b16a3 nos /67 mustang ford/yamaha r1 owner and this car is stunning under the hood and also complexing so im down for some info thanks

check codes and compression, cloged exhaust. and the basic tune up stuff.. could be a vanos switch, that is a comon problem

what is a vanos switch? not familiar with it

well i found one im guessing major problem ........i had 2 1/2 inches of oil in each sprk plug cyclinder and and one of the oil tubes commin off the front sensor on the valve cover was cut ....wow....was real glad to find that."sarcasm" and when i got under the car i found tranny fluid which looks like its commin from my gasket i hope but not sure yet
