Anybody know where I can get a set of IForged wheels repaired. The lip I can get repaired easily but the face of the wheel has some issues and I can't find a place that can fix them. Any help would be appreciated.

Aloha

knowing a little bit about IForged finishes, almost anything is going to require replacement or shop repair. Painted finishes need repainting and maybe clearcoat. brushed finishes and polished finishes can be repaired but will need clear and if you are missing metal it can't be repaired.

A local paint shop can probably fix a painted wheel, don;t know anyone who can do a brushed or polished. you might be able to repair the face and repaint or powdercoat all four so they match.

IForged lips are polished right?

Thanks for the info guys. My wheels are brushed and I have a meeting with a guy on Monday so hopefully that goes well. I was thinking of reparing them and powder coating all four.

Aloha.

yes should be polished without clearcoat (when you polish them the cloth turns black).

brushed finishes can be repaired with abrasive pads, but replacing gouged or mishaped metal will be a big problem. You willlikely have to use a filler, shape it and then refinish the wheel to cover the repair.

well the wheel is not misshaped or anything but there seems to be a coating on the face. and its peeling in some parts. Thats the problem that I have.

You'll have to strip and re-clear. What wheel cleaner have you been using? Do not use acidic cleaners (almost anything from an auto parts store). Either use P21S, car shampoo and water, or if you must diluted simple green and water.

Any idea where I can go to do the stripping and reclearing. Also, I just purchased the car and the wheels came with it, so I haven't cleaned them yet. I wanted to get them repaired first and then get details on caring for them

I got a quote from Titanium in Pearl City and it was about $950 to repolish the entire wheel and repair the curb damage. This is with a $200 discount because they know somebody i know.

sound fair?

No, you can replace the entire wheel for that.

http://www.iforged.com/ ...the person you probably want to talk to is Vince Wong.

What are they exactly going to do to repair curb damage? Are they just going to hone/ lathe down the entire lip until the damage is gone, or are they going to build up the damaged area and then bring back down to blend in?

I've never heard of Titanium, are they a relatively new shop?
