I searched, but found no definite answer.

I installed my budget SSK yesterday. It was such a pain to get the circlips off, but after that, it wasn't bad. I wrapped the selector rod in solder and taped it up to make it heavier too. It looks great. Anywho, I put it back into place, snapped the new clips on and started to take a test drive. But as soon as I put it in gear (the gears felt wrong), the shifter would shake like crazy.

After searching, I found that the clearance on certain shifters is too low and it rubs on the guibo? is that right?
I ordered a new guibo from the stealership as I saw cracks on mine when under the car, but will it make a difference? The clearance will be the same right?
I also ordered a new shifter bushing. I thought since it hasn't been replaced before, it might be worn out and sagging a little. Will this help?

And as a last resort, I read that you have to bend the selector rod? Does anyone know what way I'm bending it/ how much bend ect... I couldn't find any specifics searching.

Any other tips would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you checked the transmision and motor mounts to see if they've partially collapsed?

I didn't see the motor mounts, but the tranny mounts look like they are still in good shape.. suprisingly as they are pretty old and are probably the ones that came with the car(115K mi). I should just upgrade them too now to TME reds..

The ssk my gf got me for my birthday is turning into a big and costly project...

I'm going to install the guibo monday when my part gets into the stealership. I'll post pictures from under the car then, to see if that helps any.
