Im about to orde HRE 547R's in 18x8 and 18x9 rear. I heard if you get a 46mm offset on the 9" rim for the rear, that it wont rub w/ 255/35-18 tires. Im still on stock suspension and plan to stay on it for a while. Is this true? Will it fit with out rubbing? Just looking for some help here. Thanks

I just put on my HREs and I'd suggest a 40mm offset for the 18x9s if 46mm is their standard offset for our application. The front 18x8s sit real close to the fender (almost flush), much like a 18x8.5 would. IMO, the rears look too inset compared to the fronts. I added a 10mm spacer to the rears to even it out but I only get away with it because I rolled the rear fenders for my previous wheels. I know I'm gonna get tired of the spacer and I'm gonna see what I can do about getting the rim halves replaced to put me at a 38mm offset.

40mm should be perfect for unrolled rear fenders.

Don't worry m3LTW, I'll send out some pics as soon as I find my dig cam.
