View Full Version : Looking for an E36
DonZ3 08-16-2006, 05:39 PM I'm looking for an E36 in the 325is variety. Must be standard transmission and in good condition. Prefer to buy from an individual, but would also consider buying from a used car lot.
I would appreciate any leads in the South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia area. Please email me at palmettorc@bellsouth.net if you come across one.
Thanks for the help.
8ball 08-16-2006, 08:38 PM My buddy at work has a 99 328is in immaculent condition. dark green on tan leather, 5spd. It is definately up to your standards of cleanliness. I can find out miles but he tried selling it about a year ago and wanted top dollar and no one would give it to him. I'm sure he still wants top dollar now but is more willing to negotiate from what he tells me. It may be newer and a bit more expensive than your looking for but you won't find a cleaner one out there that has been perfectly maintained. Let me know and I will ask him about it.
DonZ3 08-16-2006, 10:05 PM Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a nice car, but I'm sure it is out of my price range. Also sounds too nice for what I want to do with it. I'm wanting it for autox and some HDPEs. Also planning on doing some mods as well. A good car would be fine. Unless, of course, the price really low.
Thanks again,
Don

I know someone with a 93 Blue 325is that is being used as an SM AutoX car. Sure, it has two blown front struts, but those are being replaced soon. He was talking about selling the car at one point.
Im sure we know who Im talking about. :devillook
PJ325i 08-17-2006, 09:24 AM Yeah yeah yeah. . . it was me . . . I was thinking about selling Michelle . . . I need a truck . . . but I can let her go . . . I keep having dreams of a LS1 :evil2 and I could NEVER do that to the M . . .
DonZ3 08-17-2006, 12:44 PM Who is Michelle, and how much do you want for her? :) Isn't that illegal? I also have dreams of an LS1 or 2 powered something, but with the wiring, I think that is one dream that would quickly turn into a nightmare!
Dustin, I noticed your sig. Good reason to keep the girls away from myspace.
I found a local car with low miles, (1992, 100k miles) and in good shape for 4K$, however the color is the worst I have seen. Not sure I can get past that even though thats not real important. Don't know the correct paint color name, but it's a light gold. A lot of maintenance has been done on this car and it is real clean. Does look to be a good price, or not?

Seems to be a decent price...If you are going to track the car, are you going to have it stripped out to install a cage and all? If so, good time to cheaply change color (My stepdad and brother both do paint/body work).

Yea I need the power of LS1 :) I was thinking of selling the 325 . . . but I've changed my mind . . .
I think i know what color you are talking about :thumbdown . . . but it is going to be a track car . . . . so meh . . .
8ball 08-17-2006, 08:40 PM Don I gotta ask what happened to the E30 desire man, they make absolutely fun track cars and are in the same price range as the early E36's. I thought for sure you get an E30. I'll keep my eye out for E36's for ya, be patient there are alway 3K deals that pop up pretty often on 92's and 93's.
