Hi guys.. ive finally found a half decent bmw forum :)

Ive just bought a 318 coupe which comes with rearparking sensors.
(car is second hand.. 2000).

When i place the gear in reverse, the buzzer sounds for about 5 seconds and then stops (as if there is an error).

Ive cleaned the sensors, and got the misses to stand over the sensors while in reverse and it makes no sound.

Would anyone have any ideas as to why it would be doing this?

any help is appreciated.

after searching the forums and some external links provided by this forum. i will be putting the car in reverse and listening out for the passive "clicking" sensor to see which one is faulty.

Any further advice is welcome :)
