I live in an area that has a decent amount of back roads, grew up here, and still come back from college every now and then. The king of the back roads here has alwasy been my friend with a Mr2 turbo. Hes had that kind of car (the first shitty one got hit and he got another in almost perfect condition for 3300 just because he had access to the cash on a sunday) since junior year of high school (going on 6 years now) and drives those roads everyday.

The other night i was finally able to keep on his ass through one of our favorite secions. I chased him throught the twisties for a about 3 miles, both of use slidding almost all the corners, then passed him on a straight. I was just pumped because my M3 allowed me to do that, and i haven't even gottne fully used to driving it yet.

On a side note, does anyone know off hand the regulations involved in the salaom times that are posted by cars? Im guessing its just a line of cones of certain length and the fastest you can go without hitting a cone is the slamom time? I'd just like to know what that acually means.

Thanks

Nice cars, I love them both and those roads too. I used to ride down there when I lived in the area.

You basically said it.. it's a line of cones a fixed distance apart. Cars are timed as they get through it in the tightest line as fast as they can until they break traction.

That run sounded like a ton of fun......I wish we had roads like that here in Indiana...without the potholes off course....

Actually I do live in sounthern Indiana haha...Evansville...I should change my location. I'm more impressed with the mideast roads of Indiana, down off of u.s.52 before Brookville, in between Connersville, still the potholes own your rims if you aren't paying attention, that and horrible rail crossings
