Ok, I know Ely and Steve redid the a/c systems in their cars with some sort of refrigerant that I've never heard of before. Could either of you guys tell me what it is, and would anyone be willing to help me install it when I get some for myself? My a/c hasn't worked all summer. Well, it does, but only when the outside temp is like 70 degrees or less, so I figure my system needs a recharge.

Thanks. Did you get the regular or the industrial stuff? How many 6oz. cans did you use?

he had the industrial, and I think we stuck 1 can of leak detectent in and 3-4 of the regulor stuff. If your interested buy a 12 can case for the $59, and I'll buy what's left off you for $30, that will end up saving you in the long run. I've been thinking of buying some extra just in case.

i wish my a/c worked, but i'm afraid there is more wrong with it then it just needing a recharge.

Yep, go with the industrial 12.. It is 30% more efficient than the regular.. Get some oil to go with it.. Makes a difference.
I have it in 4 of my cars and it is great.. My truck AC blows below 40 degrees...
