I have just bought a 535i SE Auto and absolutely love it. After a quick clean of the plugs and re-attaching of one of the air filter hoses its now running great. I was just wondering about the Auto switch for sports/economy, I press it but nothing happens and theres no indication on the dashboard of any change. The cars has been LPG converted and runs great on both petrol and LPG but I'm trying to iron out a few of the little niggly problems with it, the auto box switch being one of them.
If anyone knows I'd greatly appreciate any help, all in all though its definately the best car I've ever bought for 200 quid.

it sounds like you have the 2-position A M switch instead of the 3 -position S E M switch that's in the instructions below. Either way...it operates the same. If you do have the 2 -position switch...the SPORT program is initiated by moving the gear select lever back into 3. As it states in the instructions...gear selections should appear on the right side of the instrument cluster. The Economy/Auto settings should appear as E D, if in drive...S 3, if in SPORT mode...or M 3, if in MANUAL mode and you have the gear lever in 3.

Thanks for that, much appreciated, having had a look at the diagram i do have the three switch S E M version so will try it out tommorrow morning to see if i can get it working. Unfortunately i did'nt get an owners manual with it but I'm slowly working out most things with it now. Although most of the time is just spent driving it, just love driving the thing.
