I'm looking for a cheap set of back up wheels. Anyone know if these would fit an E34?

interesting that 4 of 5 links were for 3 series wheels...and you own a 5 series. :ponder

Well, as I've written before (meaning it should easily be found doing a search) :D

...all BMW 5/6/7/8/Z8 wheels are interchangable EXCEPT the E39 5 series wheels (hub-centric rings are required to take up the slack of them having a slightly larger wheel hub) . They all have:
5x120 wheel bolt pattern
72.56mm wheel hub (except the E39 5 series which has a 74.1mm hub)
10mm-28mm wheel offset range (the newest 5/6/7/series have a few staggered wheel set-ups that have a rear wheel offset as high as 32mm)

The BMW 3/Z3/Z4/X3/X5 have a wheel offset range of 35mm-48mm which is is too high for the 5/6/7/8/Z8 BMWs (wheel spacers would be required).

Hope this is helpful in your search. :)

PS...there is a rare exception...the E30 M3 and E46 M3 have a few REAR wheels that have a wheel offset between 25mm-28mm...but it's only the REAR wheel. You could conceivably mount the correct size tires for you 5'er on 4 of the aforementioned M3 REAR wheels successfully.

If you go to the online parts database ( www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do )...you can get the wheel offset and sizes looking under the WHEEL (main group) for any of the models mentioned above. It would be a great way to confirm that the wheel is correct for your car by verifying the BMW part nbr (which is on EVERY oe BMW wheel). Wheel offset is written as ET:22 (which means 22mm offset).

Only the last ones will. The rest are 3 series wheels which, as stated above, wont fit a 5 series. Go on ebay and search "e34 wheels" or "525 wheels" or "bmw bbs", they always bring up some wheels.

Thanks guys. I just posted links from the local craigslist for any 17" BMW wheels that weren't big bucks. I just need a cheap back-up set of wheels. I'm trying to work with what's available and close location. Most of them happen to be for a 3 series, hence my ???'s. Thanks again.

Since the last one's should fit, http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/pts/193833629.html

I'll see if I can get my hands on those for a good price.
