I'd be interested too.. I know one member has one on his 540i.. I had one on my '97 528i/5; Stainless Steel, good construction, blah, blah.. it sounded great and all for about 1/4 of what a SuperSprint, Eisenmann, Remus, etc., would have cost!!

I had a Magnaflow on my e30 and at first I thougth it sounded awesome - very nice, deep, aggressive tone. But after driving with it for a few months, I wished every day that I had a quiet exhaust again. It really does get old - almost to the point of being bothersome. It would literally overwhelm any conversation or music that you had in the car.

Magnaflow just offers the muffler, not a complete kit, correct? I'm assuming there will be a slight, if any, gain in power as well.

Only in the driver's head.

I've got a magnaflow exhaust from the cat back that I think sounds great. I had the reasonators removed as well. I highly recommend it.

That's kinda what I was thinking...

I would like to have a LITTLE more sound, but I want it quiet when I'm cruising (instead of the Flowmaster drone) so I can hear my stereo, or just my thoughts with the windows up.

If you only want a LITTLE more sound, don't go with Magnaflow. Magnaflow will give you a LOT more sound, sound which will drive you absolutely insane once the initial novelty wears off.

I would have to pull some paperwork when I get home later for detailed cost. I think it was around $300 total. I don't have any pics from underneath my car. But, now that it's come up, I will next time it's up on the rack.

The only "drone" I hear is when I'm warming it up in my garage. I think it is more due to the confined space. Outside of the garage, the sound is awesome. I don't know the exact date off the top of my head, but I'm sure I've had this exhaust for over a year and the novelty has not worn off yet.
