Seems like my suspension is getting a little worn. I got my 530i with around 115k on it and im almost certain the previous owner didn't change any of the suspension bits and pieces. I know that i need to get the 750iL control arms and bushings, my mechanic says i need to replace the tie end rod. What else should i replace while im under there?

replace your springs, get h&r sport springs off ebay and pop those suckers on, also stiffin up your struts, get a strut tower brace or something,

I installed poly bushings on my 530i. They give you alittle more feel inside the car but they last a lot longer :)

poly bushings for what? Which bushings did you replace?

The thrust arm bushings and I plan on replacing the rest of the bushings with poly bushings. I was on a budget at the time :)

Larger roll bars...

There's also the control arms with bushings pressed in. You could replace those if he's doing the tie rods. Make sure to get the heavy duty bushing. Aside from that you should be good. You can ask him if the shocks are worn if so you can replace those.. the springs should be fine unless you want to lower it.

I must say, i don't know how long since my shocks replaced, probably a very long time... but it still rides soft as a cadillac on on the straights... really nice (aside from the occasional bump..)! What I'm trying to say is your suspension shouldnt be really messed up, maybe your wheels need balancing or some other things.

I think it's just small bits and pieces of the suspension that are a little messed up.
