Who will be going?

I am *pretty* sure that I will be able to make it. I will be driving a 1990 300zx TT. Gotta get more seat time before my track event on 12-14-2002 at Thunderhill.

Saw your car at the Slush 5 this past Sunday, but wasn't able to find you. I hope to see you on the 8th. I'll be driving a 300zx TT.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

kster-
I would take you up on the offer, but I'll be in Monterey before the event.

Everyone-
Since this will be my first GGC event, how many runs will we be getting. I hope for $45 it is a lot more than 3 or 4.

I've done one other autocross with the GGC chapter and we got 6 runs but it took all day.

in the past two events, we've been getting 2 trial runs, 4 timed/real runs, and 6 fun runs.

Kos - My tires should be perfectly worn in. They are awesome tires. And yes, this event will be a lot of fun!!!

Hey Guys!

How was the Auto-X?

I wasn't able to make it because the Z's clutch went out. We had figured it was on it's last leg, but thought that we could milk it for at least one more auto-X and track event. Looks like Thanksgiving traffic took care of that!

Hey Raza,

Great event! Competition was very tough including the SC M3 that won SM at Nationals this last year driven by (I think) the fella that won, Jeff Reitmeyer? and his wife Stacy. They were both lightning fast. Navid drove his e36 325 race car, Rich V. drove Ken Garcia's Frankenengine 325e, and Donna B. was smokin' fast in the Black Betty. I think all those guys beat me; I was pretty close to Pete Mottaz in Peter G's car, IIRC. Need...more...power... :atom :D

Anyway, a good chance to give the new Kumhos a workout, and they behaved like champs. I started out with slight oversteer which I mostly fixed by putting a little more pressure in the rears; there's plenty of potential in 'em though.

Course was a good mix of tight and sweepy with a rediclously tight lane change right in the middle. It allowed for some good driving and spectating all around, though. Fun stuff, 6 runs, and the same usual cool people. Sorry you couldn't make it - ya should have just come out a bummed a few rides. :pimpflash

Andy,
Wow! I should have come out just to watch.

Unfortunately, I spent all of Saturday under the Z trying to figure what went wrong and maybe band-aid it to get my brother and me home to Berkeley come Sunday.

Hopefully, we can get it fixed before Slush 6 on the 8th.
