I've driven this car and it is good. Runs real strong, has a problem shifting into second. It would make a GREAT DD M5.

White cars are not quite my taste.

However, the red E34 M5 the same seller has on eBay is nice! Less miles, too!

The White car and red car have had at least paintwork on the rear section [not in itself a bad thing, but just check on the quality of the job]--the badges are misplaced. Also, for an 'unmolested' car, the white M5 has aftermarket exhaust tips [or exhaust], and painted e46 M3 wheels from what I can see.

I'd be concerned with rust seeing how it is a northern car. My only concern besides it running right. Even though it is a 'newer' older car. What part of Maine your from skateparks? I'm from Old Orchard Beach originally. :)

I've been wondering myself, I lived in Biddeford, Millinocket and Winterport.

BTW, I used to go to the Lighthouse (First Assemblie Of God) in OOB, and worked for SOS when I was in Biddeford (which if I remember right was one of Maines armpits, around Agusta was the other, but I've forgotten the name).

you got that right... unfortunately it is not a great city but... what's really funny is that I'm from the next town over (literally) and the median income is over $300k and the average home is over $500k. Go figure.

You must be talking about Saco. The other 'armpit' was Auburn-Lewiston.

I've been looking for some lake (or perhaps) riverfront property in Northern Maine, around Bangor or above.

I miss it there, but it's still a little 'liberal' up there for me, they tax you to death, and in Northern Maine, the pay isn't exactly top rate. Still, I love it there.

California and the Whole West Coast FTW!!! How many hours a week do you sit in traffic? When was the last time you left your M5 outside at night with the keys in it, 3 bikes on the roof and your house unlocked...and lived to tell? I don't even know where my house keys are or if my door locks work in my cars. My shop doesn't even HAVE locks for chritmas sakes!!! I'll take a little snow thanks...

now the surf is a different story!!!

Saco's pretty nice these days, actually. And as far as lakefront, $250k for a summer cabin.....south of Bangor anyway and there are NO jobs up there that pay enough to eat and drive a BMW.

No, sometimes it rains. Unless it's mud season, then it does both.

There's a few, but not many. Houses have went up quite a bit since I left (esp in Winterport which has turned into a fullblown bedroom community for bangor, much as Southern Maine turned into one for Boston), but still within range.

The plan is buy the land, then find a old house and have it moved to whatever location I choose. Still (normally) way cheaper then building. Normally...

BTW, long live Uncle Henry! They don't have anything to match it in the rest of the known world...

I do miss Baxter though, when I lived in Millinocket, I pretty much lived up there, don't know how many times I climbed the mountain, lol. Good times.

I miss snow skiing and snowmobiles. Maine is great though, I have a beachhouse in OOB still that my family and I go to every summer.

I guess others appreciate other things. By all means, if I left my keys in my M5, I better live in Maine!:D
I dunno, I tried the whole living back east thing, including a Northeast winter. The traffic imho, isn't all that bad because I dont live in SF, but a rich sub of Cali, much like the one you described in Maine... but without the snow. I guess the downside to that is, we pay a premium for everything out here. (including housing.)

Basically, my personal theory is: Snow is only fun when you can leave it.

Skateparks,
Wasn't the red one yours? The white one has been there a while also. Shifting to second problem means tranny is going or gone as they are extremely expensive to repair.

Yea, the red one was mine but I traded it towards the e39. Awesome car, best running M5 I've seen. I'm watching the auction closely!!

Both badges appear to be in the right place to me. I had my badge in the wrong place and went over the proper location a few times with people. Plus the chances of both being wrong and in the same place are not likely. But I'm with you on the aftermarket wheels. Tips look to rounded but its hard to tell from the small pics.
