I just put brand new 18x8 Style 32's on my car and must admit that ithey look absolutely sick - in a good way. Next step is to lower the car a little. My dillema is this - I like the heght of the rear but would like to drop the front by about 1.25 inches. Is dropping just the front of the car a good idea? Will it have any negative effects on the handling characteristics? OR do I need to drop the whole thing?

The H&R springs I have, hardly even made a visual difference on the car. So if you go H&R, no need to worry.

I would say dropping just the front would affect the handleing because the front will be stiffer then the rear. This will cause it to understear more. The car is already built with some understeer in it so you really dont want to be adding more. I have Eibachs on mine and it looks great. You could look for some Ground Control Coil overs and then you could set the rear and front to what ever hight you want. I believe you can pre load them so you can make the spring rates correct regardless of the hight difference. It could be a little more then you are willing to spend though. I believe the perches run $600 or so with springs and shocks for them are another $600 or so. You also need to try and get ahold of some as I believe they were disscontinued for the e34. I have heard they will make you them still though if you call in and ask. Good luck either way.
