post 13 made things sound promising. i wonder if these contests need a rehaul of sorts, participation is seriously lacking since #2, are people turned off by the high skill of some people here (like that guy that posted his late entry for the m5)?

EDIT: here is a message to everyone out there. if you just make the pic black and white within 6 hours, you are guaranteed 3rd place. hell, even if you don't have pshop, you can draw a line on in in mspaint and send it in and get 3rd. this is the biggest opportunity to people who want to get some placing!
